No hay más Led Zeppelin
A pesar de lo dicho ayer, Peter Mensch, manager del guitarrista Jimmy Page, se retractó totalmente en eso que la banda buscaría un reemplazo al ultragenial Robert Plant para seguir rockeando y toureándola por el mundo tras su show de 2007 en el O2 Arena de Londres por el poder de la música más sexual de la historia. No habrá más Led Zeppelin, no hay planes de que lo haya.
Mensch comentó: "Led Zeppelin se acabó. Si no los vieron en el 2007, se los perdieron. Probaron reemplazantes a Robert Plant, pero nada funcionó. Se acabó. No hay planes para continuar. Francamente, ojalá todos dejaran de hablar al respecto."
Los fans no están nada contentos, especialmente los británicos, considerando los precios delirantes de las entradas del show reunión.

Superman Timeline: From Bryan Singer To Zack Snyder
A look back at the attempts to reboot the storied superhero franchise.

Over 220 weeks have passed since "Superman Returns" opened in theaters. Since then, the Man of Steel has been relegated to his Fortress of Solitude and the creative forces behind the franchise have struggled to bring another installment to the big screen. Now, with Zack Snyder ("Watchmen") tapped to direct a new film, Superman seems poised to return — if not like a speeding bullet, then certainly with all due haste — to the multiplex.
As we await his arrival, let's take a look back.
June 28, 2006: The Bryan Singer-directed "Superman Returns" opens with a relatively disappointing $52.5 million weekend gross on its way toward $391.1 million in worldwide box-office sales. Fan reaction to Singer's somewhat maudlin take on the superhero, coming a year after the gritty "Batman Begins," ranges from indifference to antagonistic. But a sequel is already in the works.
August 22, 2008: For over two years, the sequel was beset by production delays, budget disputes, shifting release dates and Singer's departure to direct the Tom Cruise flick "Valkyrie." In early '08, Singer still had plans to move forward with a new "Superman" following the writers' strike. Today, Warner Bros. announces it will reboot the franchise once again. "Had 'Superman' worked in 2006, we would have had a movie for Christmas of this year or 2009, but now the plan is just to reintroduce Superman," Warner Bros. Pictures Group President Jeff Robinov says. "We're going to try to go dark to the extent that the character allows it."
November 19, 2008: When asked if he'll direct the next "Superman," Singer tells MTV News, "At the moment, I can't really talk about that. I wish I could. From my perspective, I'm going to take a brief pause. This movie has taken a long time, so I'm going to take a pause. A movie like that takes some time to do right. That's all I can say about that."
July 6, 2009: In the absence of official announcements, rumors about directors (the Wachowski brothers?) and characters (no Lex Luthor?) proliferate. A piece of solid news comes on this day, when Brandon Routh, who played the Man of Steel in "Returns," tells us that his contract for the franchise has expired, casting doubt on whether he will reprise his role if and when a new film goes into production.
July 9, 2009: A lengthy legal battle between the heirs of the Superman creators and the companies that control the hero, DC Comics and Warner Bros., ends as a judge rules that if production on a new "Superman" film does not begin by 2011, the heirs will be eligible to sue Warner Bros. for damages, as they will own the entire Superman copyright in 2013.
July 13, 2009: Warner Bros. of tentpole releases, including "Green Lantern." No mention is made of "Superman."
September 15, 2009: DC Entertainment chief Diane Nelson tells MTV News, "We actually don't have any current plans for Superman."
February 9, 2010: "Dark Knight" director Christopher Nolan reportedly slides into a "godfather" role for "Superman"; he will oversee its development and shepherd it toward production.
February 9, 2010: David Goyer ("Batman Begins") is said to have been tapped for scriptwriting duties.
March 10, 2010: Nolan makes his first public comments about his involvement, saying, "We're approaching it in a not-dissimilar way in terms of trying to find an incredible story in a way that audiences can engage with it the way they engage with contemporary action films. I think David's approach is a very good way of doing just that."
September 24, 2010: With the rumor mill floating Chris Columbus and James McTeigue as possible directors, reports suggest that the list is down to five people: Tony Scott, Matt Reeves, Jonathan Liebesman, Duncan Jones and Zack Snyder.
October 4, 2010: Snyder is confirmed as director. "All I'll say is that those guys — Chris and David — have created an amazing story," he told MTV News. "The 'Why [remake] Superman?' is definitely being looked at with care, that's all I could hope for as a director."

Britney Spears Tweets About 'Glee' Tribute Episode
'I loved it!' writes the pop star, who also thanked fans and shared her thoughts on the show's covers.

Britney Spears fans are a force to be reckoned with. Earlier this year, they campaigned for an episode of "Glee" to be dedicated solely to their favorite pop princess. And after much anticipation, on Tuesday night the students of McKinley High shimmied, crooned and danced their way in tribute to the entertainer. The singer took to Twitter to thank her fans for their efforts and shared her thoughts on the program, titled "Britney/Brittany," and its covers of her songs.
"I loved it! Thank you guys SO much for making this happen!" Britney tweeted. In particular, the star seemed to enjoy the renditions of her classic tunes, saying, "I love this version of Stronger. Artie did a great job," and "The GLEE version of Toxic is amazing!"
While some of the McKinley High students — including Cheerio cheerleader Brittany S. Pearce (played by Heather Morris) — went into anesthesia--induced dream sequences to channel their inner Britney, Spears herself emerged throughout the episode's hallucinogenic fantasies. Appearing as Madonna's character at the end of "Me Against the Music," a high-school teacher in "... Baby One More Time" and a fellow cheerleader, the singer remained a source of inspiration for the Gleekers.
Spears gave kudos to co-star Morris, saying, "Awww Heather Morris is sooo cute! Brittany S Pearce. Ha! She was so fun to work with and was really sweet in person."
The singer not only applauded Morris' friendliness, but also her rendition of "I'm a Slave 4 U." She wrote of the sultry production, "Slave: Oh ... My ... God ...! Those little boys are SO cute! I know how hard it is to dance with that snake! Nice job." The pop star also was surprised at how well the show re-created the music video set of her 2003 Madonna duet, "Me Against the Music," pointing out that it "looks just like the original," and adding, "Santana does a great Madonna impression."
As the students walked Spears through memory lane, Lea Michele's cover of "... Baby One More Time" also had the singer reminiscing. "Watching Baby brings back so many memories! Feels like yesterday," she explained.
John Stamos also made a guest appearance in the episode, as the dentist who sends the Gleeks into Britney world. Spears made it clear that the 47-year-old actor looks as good as he did during his heyday. "John Stamos is still hot! He looks the same as he did on Full House," she tweeted.
As with many "Glee" fans, Britney found a pleasantly odd interest in Jane Lynch, who plays the aggressive cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester, describing the actress as "hilarious and scary all rolled into one."
Spears wasn't the only one who enjoyed filming the tribute episode — the "Glee" castmembers recently dished on working with the star. Morris told Australian magazine TV Week that the singer was her childhood inspiration. "She was my idol from, like, age 12 to 16," she said. "I sang to her [songs] in my living room and danced to her — I learned all her moves. And I had my talent shows and I lip-synched to her. I just kept flashing back to growing up and being obsessed with her."
Naya Rivera, who plays Santana, also spoke highly of the pop icon. "I love Britney Spears. I mean, who doesn't? We all grew up with her," she proclaimed in a promo video for the show. "The first music purchase I ever made was '... Baby One More Time' on cassette. [It was like], 'Britney Spears is going to be in my mitts, what do I do?' [And I was like], 'Hi Britney!' And then she was like, 'Hey!' She was awesome and beautiful. She was, like, magical."
