TLC To Air Real-Life Version Of 'Big Love'

Entertainment Weekly reports that TLC has a new reality TV show in the works: the real-life version of 'Big Love.' 'Big Love' is the HBO show starring Bill Paxton as a polygamist with three wives (played by Jeanne Tripplehorn, Chloe Sevigny, and Ginnifer Goodwin).
TLC announced today that it has picked up a seven-part series called Sister Wives that'll follow a Utah polygamist named Kody Brown and his three (though soon-to-be-four) wives and their many children.
The series begins with Brown announcing plans to take on another wife and her three kids ? and apparently, the news is met with mixed feelings.
Oh. My. Goodness. The three wives have TWELVE children between them (and one is pregnant with another child), all fathered by Kody. The fourth wife has three kids with a former husband. Talk about potential for drama!
And I have to wonder: isn't polygamy illegal? How will this family avoid getting into trouble with the law?
Do you want to see the real-life version of 'Big Love'? I have to admit, I have enough questions that I might not be able to resist a peek, even if I am trying to stay away from reality TV.
It's scheduled to air September 26.
